Lake Channel Cleanup on Saturday, August 23rd at 9:00 AM
Over time, the lily pads have taken over which have made parts of the channel more difficult to navigate, and this is a great opportunity to come together as a community and take care of our shared space.
Our goal for this event is to expand the current waterway, only to improve navigational safety for boaters, reduce the risk of property damage, and enhance the overall visual appeal of the area.
Please note that we are NOT clearing individual properties.
If you’re available, we’d love to have you join us. We’ll meet at the Upper Reynolds channel entrance at 9:00am.
Bring gloves, rakes, and anything else you think may help. Boats or kayaks are also welcome if you're able to bring one.
This is a great way to keep the lake beautiful, and connect with neighbors. Please let me know if you’re able to volunteer so we can plan accordingly.
Special thanks to Red Arrow Property & Lawn Maintenance for donating your trailer and deposing of our lily pads for Channel Cleanup Day
Channel and Lower Reynolds Invasive Plant Watch, Friday August 15 at 8:30am
Join in our kayaking (or any small vessel) event to identify invasive aquatic plants in Reynolds Lake.
We will be meeting at the start of the channel on Upper Reynolds at 8:30am, making our way through the channel and along the shower lines of Lower Reynolds. We will be looking for invasive aquatic plants and taking pictures and noting locations of these plants. We had a lot of fun doing this before and learned a lot about what plants are in our lakes. If you need a kayak please let us know. Hope to see you Friday.
Free, open to the public (6 Reynolds lake members are going)
Location: Fish Lake Public Boat Launch, Fish Lake, Gobles

This event also serves as a hands-on MI Paddle Stewards workshop, teaching paddlers how to identify, report, and prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species.
